Olive is a young vampire struggling with inner demons. On a daily basis she asks the question- to kill or not to kill?
However, she is not your average vampire! As she was going through the change she lost her sense of taste. Instead of killing innocent humans, she tries to trick herself into drinking anything other than blood to stay alive. But, this makes her weak.
One day she passes out from lack of blood, and finds ruthless vampire Leo has saved her from frying in the sun. Olive is a loner and tries to rid herself from Leo, but finds he isn't easy to detach from. She gets tangles in Leo's dangerous lies and finds herself thrown in a situation with a human.
Once again she must decide- to kill or not to kill the beautiful human.

I enjoyed the plot in this book, but character development was lacking and the dialogue tended to jump from one thing to another without a smooth transition.There was some misuse of your vs you're and a few technical errors here and there.
Overall, I felt this was an excellent first draft, but it still needs work in order to become developed, polished and truly completed. The use of a professional editor wouldn't be remiss.
This book has lots of potential with further development.
Also, I'm not sure if I would put this in the category of young adult. Just because there aren't explicit scenes of sex and the word count is low, it doesn't automatically make your book young adult.
I read the young adult books my daughter wants to read and I wouldn't allow her to read this.

I am an adult. I love vampire stories. If I was an older teen or younger adult, I would have rated this higher. I do look forward to the next book in the series. I will read it. Thanks.
I just now purchased the book today.Already half way through the book. I just can't seem to put the book down, very entertaining!
First of all I am not a fan of the vampire stuff, but I bought the book because one of my friends read it. This is a good quick read that held my attention throughout. "I" even read the book in one sitting. I can see how there could be more parts written in the future and the author even mentioned releasing a second book, which I will have to keep my eyes open for. I for sure would reccommend and have to a few people.
As a not-so-semi "young adult" I have enjoyed reading vampire books for awhile now. Once you think you have seen or read it all...a gem of a novella comes along...and it doesn't disapoint. Tasteless gives us a fresh taste on the bloodsuckers that we love so much. Besides being a short story that leaves you hungry for more, it offers new ideas of how vampires might "live" in a different atmosphere than those we are so used to. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the new perspective the author brings. I can't wait to take a bite out of the next one....lets hope its not stale
Wow! What a captivating read. I started and just couldn't stop till I finished, and that says a lot for me being that I'm usually a chapter at a time kinda reader. But this book definitely keeps your attention and keeps you wanting to know what happens next. I can't wait for the second book! Great book, from, I'm sure a soon to be, best selling author!
